The Little Things in Life

It’s about that time of year again. College students are closing in on the midway point of the spring semester and as a result, many can smell the wretched stink of the upcoming spring midterms. As time pushes us almost four months into winter, reality makes it feel as if winter break was only but a faint dream. We’re in an awkward time in the school year. As holidays go, there’s nothing to look forward to until spring break. The days are still very short and cold. And the stress, along with all of its malicious side effects, is as full bloom as tulips in the spring. All of these factors can make it difficult to maintain a positive outlook and consequently, the morale for many students is as low as the frigid temperatures outside.

How would one go about increasing morale, while simultaneously decreasing stress in their life, you might ask? Well, enjoying the small things in life and remembering to reward one for their success is a great place to start. Treating yourself to a night out on the town is one that always works well for me.

However, there can be a lot of anxiety from fear of choosing incorrectly and spending more money than need be. Whether it be from lack of information, too much information, or just not having enough time to sit down and think of the most optimal place, planning a night of fun can be a hassle.

Albeit the act of deciding the details of one’s night may seem like a rather minuscule issue, eliminating any additional, and unnecessary stress when possible is crucial for maintaining mental sanity. Determining the context of one’s night is a dilemma almost every college student has, or will encounter during their tenure at a university—not to mention being able to do so in a cheap and affordable way.

In order to offset any extraneous stress that plagues the local party gophers, I’ve created a Dinkytown weekly nightlife schedule. Among the main possibilities Dinkytown has to offer, this schedule provides you with the most cost-efficient food and drink deals offered each night of the week.
