Goodbye Drew

Putting my thoughts into words about this job that came out of nowhere back in September and has basically defined my senior year has not been easy. When I sat down with Scott Meyer in that first interview that now feels like forever ago, I had no idea where this so called “Agency” would go or how big of an impact it would have on my student career. I don’t think I could have asked for a better on campus job.

With so many people involved in making my time in CLAgency so amazing, I think it is necessary to give some Thank-You’s.

Scott - I can’t thank you enough for having the confidence in me to not take the agency down in flames as Managing Director. Your vision for CLAgency has been incredible and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Are you sure you aren’t the most interesting man in the world from those Dos Eqius commercials? Because some of the stories you tell.. I expect to be on your list of people who you get coffee with semi-regularly (I’ll buy once in a while).

Angel - I’m pretty sure the agency would crumble without your behind the scenes work. You deserve all the credit in the world for your organizational skills that have made my job so much easier. Thanks for always being the smiling face that can answer any question I have.

Claire - I think we would make a great good cop, bad cop team (you’re the bad cop of course). Thanks for being the balance that I needed on the management team and making me look good as Director. I have no doubt that you will kill it next year, just don’t make me look too bad in comparison.

Management Team - I feel a little bad for the weekly 8 am meetings (shout out to Jordyn for only missing one). Thanks for being so talented and dedicated to your role in the agency. I am going to miss having the loudest conversations that nobody in Coffman at 8 a.m. wanted to hear.

Staff - I thoroughly enjoyed working with every single one of you. Scott did a great job of hiring a new group that has been able to mesh well with us “seasoned veterans”. Thanks for following my lead all semester and giving me the chance to earn your respect. I hope we all keep in touch.

I could go on and on, but I think you guys get the point. It makes me so happy to see something that I had a hand in building from the beginning now flourish and continue to grow. So, cheers to the next chapter in CLAgency. I know you all will kill it. Just leave the door open to Johnston B-33 for me.. just in case.
